Windle Robert Syck

Mr. Windle Robert Syck, 88 of Atlanta, Michigan was reunited with his late wife, Evelyn on the morning of October 25, 2023 as he drew his last breath surrounded by family at his home. He was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on May 6, 1935 to the late Windle and Alice (Smith) Syck. He married Evelyn (Nelson) Syck on October 5, 1957 and together the couple celebrated 63 years of marriage before her passing in April of 2021. Formerly of Lincoln Park, the couple had resided in Atlanta since 1988. Windle worked in the steel mill for 32 years before retiring. He was a member of the Atlanta Masonic Temple. He enjoyed fishing, wood cutting, lawn maintenance, and playing cards. Windle is and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his children, Debra Sue (Allen) Syck of Atlanta; Susan Ellen Dussia of Lincoln Park; Robert Thomas Syck of Traverse City; William Nelson Syck; Justin Ray (Lisa) Syck both of Atlanta; grandchildren, William, Levi, Josh, Chris, Tracy, Jedd, Cameo, and Tiffany; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Syck of Ohio; sister, Lyvone Slate of Kentucky. Windle was preceded in death by his parents, Windle and Alice Syck; wife, Evelyn; grandson, Matthew; and daughter-in-law, Paula Syck.
