William Hiram Wilson Mr. William Hiram Wilson, 91 of Lewiston, Michigan passed away peacefully on May 17, 2013 at Tendercare in Gaylord, Michigan. He was born in Detroit to the late, Orville and Lillian (Slickton) Wilson on June 22, 1921. He married Lillian (Merithew) Wilson in Highland Park on August 30, 1947 and together they shared 64 years of marriage before her passing in 2012. William resided in Lewiston for the last 20 years. He was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and was also a proud veteran in the United States Army serving our country in World War II. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of employment and then later retired from the Sterling Axle Plant in October of 1977. In his free time, William enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and watching Tiger baseball. Above all, he enjoyed time spent with family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his sons, Michael Wilson of New Bern, NC; Kenneth (Prudy) Wilson of Rochester Hills; Douglas Wilson of Lewiston; Tim (Cheryl) Wilson of East Pointe; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Lillian Wilson; wife, Lillian Wilson; brothers, Don Wilson and Robert Wilson; and sisters; Stella Martin and Lucille Stewart. Funeral services for Mr. Wilson were held at 1:00PM on Monday, May 20, 2013 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Lewiston, Michigan, Rev. Robert W. Nalley officiating. Interment took place at the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
