William Sass

Mr. William Arthur Sass, 81 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at his home surrounded by the love of his family on August 15, 2020. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 31, 1939 to the late, Edwin and Louise (Brock) Sass. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1993 after 30 years of working in production. Formerly of Redford, he has resided in Lewiston since his retirement. Bill loved cars, especially mustangs. He enjoyed cutting wood, fishing, hunting, and most importantly, time spent with his children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

Bill is survived by his wife, Donna Sass of Lewiston; daughters, Barbara Nelson of Livonia; Cynthia Sass of Eastpointe; sons, Bill Sass of Canton Township; Joe Sass of Redford; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Louise Sass; and brothers, Phillip and Edwin.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place. The family has chosen to remember Bill privately at this time.
