William (Bill) Nicholas William (Bill) Nicholas, 76 of Hillman passed away August 5, 2006 at his residence Bill was born January 12, 1930 in Detroit, Mi the son of George and Melvina (Soulliere) Nicholas. Bill was retired from the parts department of General Motors, a veteran of the U S Army having served in Korea, a life member of VFW Post 2356 in Hillman and a member of St Augustine Catholic Church in Hillman and James Cronk Council #4081 of the Knights of Columbus. Bill is survived by his wife Jeannette (Jan), daughter Janill (Kaleb) Edwards of Hillman, sisters Patsy Shooks of Hillman, and Judy (Clem) Geisler of Centerline, MI, brother Jerry (Sandy) Carr of Posen, step son Chris (Elana) Bacalia and their children Christopher, Alena, and Marina of Warren, Mi, step daughter Renee (Richard) Guarnieri of Hillman and their children Cassandra, Tabitha and Amber and a great grandson Kayden Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM from St Augustine Catholic Church, Fr Vianney Sipulski O F M officiating. Burial will be St Augustine Catholic Cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded by VFW Post 2356. A luncheon will follow at the Knights of Columbus hall on M-32 in Hillman. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home Hillman from 5-9 P M Monday.
