William Dice

William Henry Dice Mr. William Henry Dice, 67, of Atlanta, MI passed away at his home on November 22, 2013. He was born on July 11, 1946 to John and Emma (Carter) Dice in Newberry, MI. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He has lived in Atlanta for the past 4 years, formerly of Texas. He was a past member of the VFW in both Hillman, MI and in Texas as well. He loved to hunt, fish, and camp. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and retired from Irby Construction, traveling all over the United States working. After retiring, he went back to work as an inspector for Isolux. Above all else, he enjoyed time with his family, especially playing with his grandchildren. Bill is survived by his wife, Terri; sons, Wyvern Jones of Gaylord, MI, and Billy Ray (Lisa Cote) Depue of Brattleboro, VT; daughters, Billie (Dale) Scripter of St Helen, MI, Melody (Andres) Chapa of Phoenix, AZ, and Wendi (Roland) Ferris of Atlanta; grandchildren, Leafa, Samantha, Tony, Cody, Daniel, James, Lydia, Eric, Joey, Matthew, Madison, Chase, Carson, and Eli; great grandchildren, Aden, Christian, Ransom, and Mason; brothers, Russell (Linda) Dice of Hillman, MI, and Sam (Linda) Dice of Atlanta, MI; sisters, Dorothy (Norman) Youngski of Hillman, MI, Marlene (Bruce) Marchlewski of Florida, Lilly (Pat) Klein of Hillman, MI, and Debbie Peavey of Dearborn Heights, MI; brother in law, Jack Tomlinson of Tyler, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Emma; and sister Mary Chersack. Funeral services with Military Honors will take place on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI. Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM until time of service.
