William Cordes

William John Cordes Mr. William John Cordes, 58 of Hillman, Michigan passed away at Alpena Regional Medical Center on September 5, 2013. He was born in Alpena, Michigan to the late, Arthur and Rosalie (Edgar) Cordes on August 11, 1955. He married wife, Marilyn (Hathaway) Cordes on December 16, 1993. William spent his entire life in Hillman, farming for years and doing odd jobs in the area. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed taking care of his garden, casino trips, scratch off tickets, joking around and pulling pranks. He enjoyed to visit with friends and family and kept his wife and son his number one priority. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by loving wife, Marilyn Cordes; son, Billy Cordes; brother, David Cordes; sisters, Connie (Roger Andrzjewski) Williams; and Peggy (Ken) Parent all of Hillman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Rosalie Cordes; sister, Suzanne Finley; and brother, John Cordes. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service for Mr. Cordes will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the St Johns Lutheran Church in Royston, Pastor Jason Mandley officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that all donations be made out to Green Funeral Home for help in assisting with funeral expenses.
