William Howard Cash

Mr. William “Bill” Howard Cash, 96 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully on September 12, 2024 at Citadel at Saint Benedict in Niles, Illinois. He was born in Fancy Farm, Kentucky on May 11, 1928 to the late John and Caroline (Neel) Cash. In Chicago, on October 5, 1973, he married his beautiful wife, Jacqueline (Henderson) Cash and together they raised a family and celebrated 39 years of marriage before Jacqueline’s passing in February of 2013. Bill was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and was president of the Lions Club for a number of years. He loved dancing. He enjoyed his family and held reunions that were at his house on the lake every year and thoroughly enjoyed boating on East Twin Lake. Bill was a family man, and he cherished the time he spent with both family and friends. He is and will be deeply missed.

 Bill was preceded in death by his son, Glenn (Bonnie) Cash who died in October of 2018. He is remembered by sons, William (Carolyn) Cash of Chicago; Brian (Joanne) Cash of Chicago; Christopher Cash of Warren; daughter, Patricia Cash of Clinton Township; stepsons, Daniel and Larry Spangler; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, John and Caroline Cash; wife, Jacqueline; son, Glenn Cash; stepson, Tim Spangler; and stepdaughter, Linda Meyers.

 A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 20, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Fr. Al Pillarelli officiating. Visitation will take place at Green Funeral Home, Lewiston on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with the wake service beginning at 7:00 PM. Visitation will take place again on Friday at church from 10:00 AM until time of Mass.
