William Benac

William Lee Benac William Lee Benac, 75, of Hillman, MI, died on September 25, 2015 at his residence. He was born on October 22, 1939 to Charles and Fidelis (Dice) Benac in Hillman, MI. Bill spent his entire life in the Hillman area. He owned and operated Busy B Excavating for 27 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and pontoon rides on the Thunder Bay River. He and his wife spent many winters in Inverness, FL, where they enjoyed many air boat rides over the years. Bill enjoyed socializing with friends and family, especially the big family pig roasts. Above all else, his family was always number one to him. Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Terry (Anthony) Tauriainen, Patti (Russ) Cohoon, and Amanda (Mitch) Olson all of Hillman, and Alisha (Andrew) Manning of Lachine, MI; grandchildren, Toni Lee, Lauren, Chandler, Ruby, Arabelle, and Alilia; great grandchildren, Adalyn, Aleena, and Nevaeh; extended family, AuraLea (John) Kelly of Grand Blanc, MI, and Woody Viers of Lachine, MI; brothers, Charles "Spike" (Carol) Benac of Hillman, Ken (Bonnie) Benac of Hillman, and David (Judy) Benac of Tyndall, SD; and sisters, Margaret (Calvin) Barton of Lachine, MI, Bonnie (Roger) Frye of Hillman, MI, Linda (Sherry) Benac of Rogers City, MI, Mary (Harry) Davis of Hillman, and Theresa Klein of Hillman. He was preceded in death by a son, William; daughter, Tina; grandson, Ashland Manning; parents, Charles and Fidelis; brothers, Raymond and Jim; and sister, Susie Benac. Graveside services will be held for Mr Benac on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the St Augustine Catholic Cemetery, Pastor Dave Hill officiating.
