Mr. William Frank Bacon, 69 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on January 2, 2020. He was born in Clio, Michigan on March 31, 1950 to the late, Carl and Mary (Brunges) Bacon. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. William moved to the Hillman area in 1986, formerly of Flushing. He worked in production for 10 years at the General Motors Plant in Flint. He loved animals, whether they were pets or wild. He even raised a deer. He was an avid reader, especially science fiction, religion, and Cryptozoology. He enjoyed listening to Art Bell at night and could generally be found outside or at his home. He adored the time he spent with his grandchildren and family and will be dearly missed.
William is survived by his wife, Yvonne Muma of Hillman; son, Nelson "Bo" (Lisa) Muma of Warrenton, Virginia; daughters, Shelia Kolcan and Tammy Muma both of Hillman; grandchildren, Jacqueline, Amber, Leigha, Kenny, Robbie, Billy, Sammie, Emilie, Charlie; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Bailey, Ethan, Vanessa, Luke and Ella; sisters, Mary Ann (Don) Melius of Farwell; Holly (Darell) Page of Oscoda; nephews, Carl and Michael; and best friend, Tom Weaver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lavern and Mary Bacon; brother, Jerry "Skip," grandchildren, Matthew and Gary Webber.
Funeral services for Mr. Bacon will take place at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Green Funeral Home, Hillman; Pastor Stephanie Maxon officiating. Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Sunday from 1:00 PM until time of service. Interment will take place at Hillman Rust Township Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the family to help with funeral costs.
