Warren Cameron

January 30, 1928 — November 30, 2011

Warren Charles Cameron, 83, of Atlanta, MI, passed away at Medilodge in Hillman on November 30, 2011. He was born on January 30, 1928 to John and Olive (Wessell) Cameron in Kalamazoo, MI. Warren spent most of his life in the Atlanta area, retiring from the Montmorency County Road Commission as a supervisor after 30+ years. In retirement, he and his wife owned and operated a dairy farm in Pickford, MI for another 15 years, before returning to Atlanta. He was a member of the Lewiston Congregational Church, and the Soil Conservation Districts in both Montmorency and Chippewa Counties. He was an avid woodworker, he enjoyed building plant stands, lamps, and birdhouses to name a few.
 
Warren is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Carolyn (Larry) Green of Atlanta, MI, Brenda (Doug) Griffin of Holt, MI, and Debbie (John) Van Coillie of Lewiston, MI; step-sons, Barry (Andrea) Priehs of Sterling Heights, MI, and Gary (Beckie) Priehs of Pickford, MI; daughter in law, Linda Cameron of Atlanta, and son in law, Don (Pam) Nichols of Atlanta; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Don (Elaine) Cameron of New Brunsfield, TX, Olive (Ron) St Clair of Paw Paw, MI, Dee (Harry) Tyrpak of Gaylord, MI, and Gary (Linda) Cameron of Clio, MI. He was preceded in death by a son, Dave Cameron, and daughter, Marie Nichols. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are will be a memorial service for Mr Cameron on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI, Pastor Keith Jones officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until time of service at the funeral home. Memorials have been suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
