Wanda Rogers

Wanda Louise Rogers Mrs. Wanda Louise Rogers, 85, of Atlanta, Michigan passed away on December 4, 2013 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. She was born in Port Huron, Michigan to Norman and Sadie (Barringer) Lamb on April 29, 1928. Before marrying the late, Raymond Rogers on March 19, 1949 in Port Huron, Wanda worked at Chrysler. The couple moved to Atlanta in 1974, formerly of Mt. Clemens. She was a member of the Atlanta Congregational Church, the Red Hats, the Atlanta Senior Center, and also past member of the Art Guild and Atlanta VFW Auxiliary. After moving here, Wanda worked here for 10 years as a beautician and also did the same downstate for sometime. She was a talented artist and enjoyed to paint and loved to garden. Above everything, she enjoyed her time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed. She is survived by son, William (Anna) Rogers of Atlanta; daughter, Terri Rogers of Atlanta; grandchildren, Brian (Linsey) Rogers of Atlanta; Kyle (Cassie) Rogers of Atlanta; great-grandchildren, Braelyn, Hunter and Parker; and sister, Thelma Welser of Marysville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Sadie Lamb; and husband, Raymond. Funeral services for Mrs. Rogers will be held Friday, December 6, 2013 at 12:00 PM at the Atlanta Congregational Church; Atlanta, Michigan, Pastors Keith and Ginny Titus officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM until time of service at the church on Friday. Arrangements were entrusted to Green Funeral Home. Memorials have been suggested to the Atlanta Congregational Church or to the Montmorency County Commission on Aging.
