Vivian Brinker

Vivian Rose Devine Brinker Mrs. Vivian Rose Devine Brinker, 94 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully on February 20, 2018 in Gaylord. She was born on February 2, 1924 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late, Francis and Elizabeth (MacQuaide) Devine. She was raised by her brother, Francis and his wife, Mary as her parents passed away when she was a young child. Vivian had a varied work life and spent a few years as a housewife, as well as working as a telephone operator in the 50's, working at Essex Wire in Atlanta, and finally retiring as Montmorency County Register of Deeds. Vivian was active in her community. She served as president of the VFW Auxiliary in Atlanta and was a member of the Atlanta Chapter Order of the Easter Stars #487. She was on numerous committees in Briley Township as well. She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Ann) Seymour of Atlanta; Scott Seymour of Royal Oak; Marc (Linda) Seymour of Gaylord; grandchildren, Jeannie Flory; Sara Seymour; Samantha Seymour; Scott Seymour Jr; Shawn Seymour; and Billie Seymour; great-grandchildren, Soleil Flory; Ayva; Ian Bryan; Deserae Bryan; and Amber Bryan; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Elizabeth Devine; granddaughter, Stacy; grandson, Timothy; daughter-in-law, Susie (Scott); siblings, Leona Grissom; Dorthy Devine; Francis Devine; Thelma Devine; and Donald Devine; husbands, William Seymour; and William Brinker. Funeral services for Mrs. Brinker will be held at 11:00AM; Friday, February 23, 2018 at Jesus The Good Shepherd Catholic Church; Atlanta; Fr. Michael Conner officiating. Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 2:00PM until 8:00PM and again on Friday from 10:00AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Elk Country Animal Shelter in Vivian's name.
