Vera Annice (Snyder) Dobbyn Vera Annice (Snyder) Dobbyn, 89, beloved mother and grandmother died Nov. 17, 2008 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI. She was born on Jan. 24, 1919 in Highland Park, MI to Louis and Floy (Parsons) Snyder. Vera was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Atlanta Senior Citizens, and Atlanta Congregational United Church of Christ. She retired from the State of Michigan after over 20 years. Vera loved living close to her family and enjoyed sewing and knitting. Vera was preceded in death by her loving husband, James H. Dobbyn, parents, and a sister, Thelma Mullholland. She is survived by her son, Jim (Kim) Dobbyn; grandchildren, Deb Holberton, Travis, Dustin, Jimmy, Darren, Jacob and Kristen Dobbyn; great-grandchild, Hilary Holberton; and a sister, Doris Booth. A memorial service will be held at Atlanta Congregational United Church of Christ on Friday, Nov. 21 at 11 a.m. with a luncheon following.
