Thomas Angell Forrester Mr. Thomas Angell Forrester, 81 of Atlanta, Michigan passed away peacefully at his residence on May 27, 2013 with loved ones at his side. He was born to the late James and Meda (Angell) Forrester in Dearborn Heights on July 18, 1931. He has been a resident in Atlanta for the last 63 years. Thomas retired in 1996 from the Montmorency County Road Commission after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Atlanta Bible Church and American Legion Sault Ste Marie Post 3. He enjoyed tinkering with mechanics and rebuilding cars. He loved to keep busy and liked to socialize with friends. Thomas always enjoyed his time at home on Decheau Lake, "back on the swamp." He loved his coffee--black only, and was often heard reciting the quote, "if you want pudding, order pudding." He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by sons, Bruce (Julie) Forrester; Don Forrester; Craig (Mindy) Forrester all of Traverse City; daughters, Terri (Mike) Hodges of Traverse City; Barb (Bernie) Matelski of Vanderbilt; Micky (Aldo Hofer) Forrester of Atlanta; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Forrester; son, Ronnie; brothers, James and Dick; and sister, Jean Bristol. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of his life at 11:00AM, Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Atlanta Bible Church, Atlanta, Michigan; Pastor Roger Steele officiating. Visiting hours will take place from 10:00AM until time of service.
