Thomas Joseph Baur Mr. Thomas Joseph Baur, 52 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully at MidMichigan Medical Center of Alpena on September 21, 2018. He was born in Alpena, Michigan on July 16, 1966 to Robert and Kay (Stevens) Baur. Tom resided in Atlanta most of his life and worked in construction for many years. He worked for SMC Construction downstate, as well as at Oesch Excavating in Hillman. He enjoyed flying drones and racing RC cars, riding his motorcycle, and hunting and fishing, but his favorite hobby was collecting. He collected wood carved boxes, coins, Indian memorabilia, deer horns for making plaques, and just about any nic nacs that were hand carved. Aside from his work and his hobbies, he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his sons, Robby (Allyssa Wilderman) Baur of Atlanta; Chris (Heather Leveski) Baur of Atlanta; Tommy Baur of Gaylord; grandchildren, Hayden, Hunter, Sophia, Dylan, Savannah, Conner, Paislee; father, Robert (Loretta Lee) Baur of Gaylord; brothers, Sonny (Lauri) Baur of Hillman; Bob (Jill) Baur of Gaylord; Rusty Baur of East Jordan; Buster Baur of Inkster; Josh Baur of Hillman; sisters, Sis Nachazal of Salem, Ohio; Margie (Danny) Nachazal of East Jordan; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kay; sister, Allison Baur; and grandson, Braedyn. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are currently no services scheduled for Mr. Baur.
