Theodore "Ted" Henry Turppa Mr. Theodore "Ted" Henry Turppa, 83 of Lewiston, Michigan passed away on April 13, 2014 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was born in Washington, Michigan to the late, Theodore and Diana (Halberg) Turppa on May 17, 1930. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean war. Ted has lived in Lewiston since 1984. He retired from the DNR after almost 30 years working in the Fish and Park Divisions. He was a member of the American Legion Post 198 and the Masonic Lodge 581 in Lewiston. Ted used to enjoy hunting, fishing, and golfing. Above all he enjoyed the time he spent with family and friends and will be greatly missed. He is survived by brother, Albert (Marie) Turppa of Plymouth; and sister, Dolores (Richard) Stevens of Traverse City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Diana Turppa. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned for Mr. Turppa at this time. A private memorial will be held for him at a later date with the Lewiston Masonic Lodge officiating.
