Theodore Cohassey

December 3, 1934 — September 17, 2017

Theodore Frederic Cohassey Mr. Theodore Frederic Cohassey, 82 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord on September 17, 2017. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on December 3, 1934 to the late, Frederic and Vivian (Schember) Cohassey. He served his country proudly in the United States Army National Guard. Ted married his wife, Cynthia (Hoffmaster) Cohassey in Pontiac on April 30, 1984 and together they celebrated 33 years of marriage before his passing. Formerly of Pontiac, the couple has resided in Lewiston since 2000. Ted worked as an engineer for General Motors and retired after 30 years. He was a hard worker and enjoyed to work with wood building things with his family and friends. He liked guns, gambling, trips to the casino, and time outdoors whether he was sitting around a fire with family or riding dune buggies through the woods. As a family they took trips together often when the children were younger. Ted was one of those people that liked to "do and see." He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Cohassey of Lewiston; sons, John (Greta) Cohassey of Pontiac; David (Rebecca) Cohassey of Hadley; daughter, Nonie (Randy) Brown of Clarkston; Becky (Jay) Wilson of Waterford; grandchildren, Steven, Samantha, and Olivia; and sister, Judy Bennett of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederic and Vivian Cohassey. As were his wishes cremation has taken place and there are currently no services scheduled for Mr. Cohassey.
