Ted R. Shepherd Mr. Ted R. Shepherd, 91 of Lewiston, Michigan died on April 30, 2015 at Otsego Memorial Hospital. He was born to the late, George and Nellie Shepherd in Edenville, Michigan on January 12, 1924. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War II. He married wife, Ethel (Walter) Shepherd on February 15, 1946 in Coleman, Michigan and together they celebrated 69 years of marriage before his passing. The couple moved to Lewiston 20 years ago, formerly of Freeland where Ted worked at the Department of Public Works for 15 years. He was a master of carpentry and retired after almost 70 years. He was a member of the United Commercial Travelers, the Freeland Sportsman's Club, and a member of the VFW Saginaw Post #9809. Ted was known as "Mr. Fix It" and could fix or repair anything. He was also known to build cabinets and furniture in his woodshop. Ted enjoyed traveling, golfing, and fishing. Some of his best fish stories came from father and son fishing trips. Aside from everything he did, Ted enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Ethel Shepherd of Lewiston; son, Randy Shepherd of Lewiston; daughters, Shelia (Mark) Reisinger of Freeland; Leona Shepherd of Douglasville, Georgia; Maxine Shepherd of Lewiston; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nellie Shepherd; daughter, Marlene Joann Shepherd; siblings, Gerald Shepherd, Bella Bauman, Donna Elmore, Crystal Swanson, Claude Shepherd, and Max Shepherd. Internment for Mr. Shepherd will take place at Midland City Cemetery; Midland, Michigan; on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 1:00PM.
