Sylvia Agnes Plante Sylvia Agnes Plante, 91, of Lewiston, MI, passed away on March 13, 2011 at AuSable Valley Home in Fairview. She was born on July 31, 1919 to David and Rose (Millette) LaBrie in Little Falls, MN. She married Pershing Plante on June 14, 1938 in Little Falls, MN. . She has lived in Lewiston since 1961. She was a member of the 50+ Club as well as a member of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lewiston. She and her husband owned and operated the Snyder Lake Party Store and Laundromat and then the Snyder Lake Sun and Snow Center in the seventies. She was an avid BINGO player and enjoyed snowmobiling when she was younger. Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Carol (Larry) Mathias of Lewiston, MI; 2 grandchildren, Shelly (Abel) Vargas and Daniel (Erin) Mathias; 2 great grandchildren, Noah, Seth, and Julia; brother, Edward Labrie of Little Falls, MN; and sister Lorraine Wolffe of Birmingham, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband Pershing, and sisters, Eva Nelson and Beatrice Zilka. Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Plante were be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at 11:00 AM at the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Lewiston, MI, Father Raymond Cotter officiating. Interment will take place at St Francis Catholic Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements were entrusted to the Green Funeral Home.
