Susan Friend

Susan Diane Friend Mrs. Susan Diane Friend, 62 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully surrounded by her family on October 23, 2017 at Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord. She was born to the late, George and Helen "Sally" Wilhelmina (Stolberg) Friend on August 21, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan. Susan has resided in Atlanta for the last five years, formerly of Wayne. She loved art, music, and helping others. Friends and family will greatly miss her wit, her laughter, and her warm, caring smile. She is survived by her sons, Patrick (Lisa) Zampogna of Lakeville, Minnesota; Tony (Gretchen) Zampogna of Saint Paul, Minnesota; Ed Woods of Wayne; numerous grandchildren; brother, Michael (Doreen) Friend of Marquette; Daniel Friend of Iron River; Eric (Kay) Friend of Arizona; sisters, Georgina (Jerry) Hess-Friend of Atlanta; and Marge (Gene) Stockero of Midland. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Friend. In accordance with Susan's wishes, there will be no public service at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Friend family.
