Susan Cady

Susan “Sue” Cady was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who left this world suddenly on January 26, 2022. She was born to Harold and Dorothy Smith on July 16, 1952. After graduating high school, she met the love of her life, Gordon Cady, and together they had three children: Douglas, Brian, and Melanie.

Sue is survived by her three children, Doug (Patti) Cady of Atlanta; Brian (Tina) Cady of Hillman; Melanie (Jamie) Sides of Atlanta; grandchildren, Arthur, Steven, Jameson, and Catherine; brothers, Harold (Judy) Smith; Don (Robin) Smith; Larry Smith all of Hillman; and sister, Erma (Terry) Tackett of Hillman.

Sue had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel, laugh, play games, and spend time with family and friends. Her kindness extended to her neighbors and church. She will be deeply missed by many.

A memorial will be held in July per Sue’s wishes. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
