Mr. Steven William Showalter, 68 of Atlanta, Michigan died suddenly on July 16, 2021 at his residence. He was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by his wife, Dawn, who preceded him in death June of 2020. Steven was born in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan to the late, Richard and Emma (Estes) Showalter on January 7, 1953. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. Steven worked for General Motors and retired after 30 years. He was a member of the Atlanta Eagles. Steven enjoyed hunting, golfing, vacationing in Mexico, fishing, and telling stories about fishing. He will be deeply missed.
Steven is survived by his daughter, Tina (Craig) Hamilton of Hastings; stepchildren, Mark Crumbaugh Jr; Matthew (Janelle) Crumbaugh both of Ashley; Amy Crumbaugh of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Keegan, AdreAnna, Trent, Rebecca, Blaze, Kaynen, Kaytlyn Crumbaugh, Nate, Gabe, Audrey Komperda; Alyssa Hamilton; brother, Richard (Joan) Showalter of Williamston; brother, Mike (Jackie) Showalter of Bay City; and sister, Kaye (Bill) Shirley of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Kelly (Rick) Johnson of Poulsbo, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Emma Showalter; and wife, Dawn; daughter, Sandra Roll.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial held in celebration of Steven's life at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Beebe United Methodist Church, North Baldwin Rd, Ithaca, Michigan 48847. A luncheon will follow services.
