Stephen Edward Englehart Mr. Stephen Edward Englehart, 68 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully at his home with his wife on February 16, 2018 at his side after battling a very aggressive form of ALS. He was born on July 5, 1949 in Alpena, Michigan to the late, William and Maxine (Fournier) Englehart. He served his country proudly in the United States Army and National Guard during Vietnam. On September 1, 1973 in Atlanta he married his wife, Gloria (Edwards) Englehart and together the couple celebrated 44 years of marriage before his passing. Stephen worked at the Standard Station in Atlanta, the Oldsmobile factory in Lansing; the Montmorency County Road Commission, and most recently worked as the Briley Township Supervisor. He was a member of various organizations including the American Legion Post 201, the Atlanta Eagles, and the Alpena Sportsman's Club. He was also a lifetime member of the NRA. He enjoyed sporting clays, reading, going on walks, seeing his grandchildren, and most of all, spending time with his Brittany spaniel dogs. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Englehart of Atlanta; children, Jill (Bob) Baur of Gaylord; Andy Englehart of Alpena; Kenneth (Dawn) Englehart; nine grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; siblings, Jeanne (Jack) Novick of Grand Rapids; William (Sherry) Englehart; Dane (Dawn) Englehart. Anna (Bill) Rogers all of Atlanta; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Maxine Englehart. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are currently no services scheduled for Mr. Englehart.
