Stanley Markowski Jr.

Stanley Frank Markowski, Jr. Mr. Stanley Frank Markowski, Jr., 49, of Atlanta, Michigan died on January 27, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw. He was born in St. Clair, Michigan to Stanley and Catherine (Esper) Markowski, Sr. on August 8, 1967. He resided in Atlanta since 1989, formerly of Harson's Island. Stanley worked for K-N-K Excavating for the past 13 years and had worked prior at Scape and Sweep in Gaylord and also at Garland Golf Resort doing landscaping. He was a Union Local 324 member for a few years, working with Rick Ferguson. Stan enjoyed a variety of hobbies including Bump N Run racing, building cars, working in his yard, and making projects. He always enjoyed playing with his pet squirrel, "Sissy." His granddaughter, Harper, was the highlight of his life for the past four months. Family was important to him and he enjoyed the time that was spent with them. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving companion, Brenda Ferguson of Atlanta; sons, Stan Markowski III and girlfriend Bree Canning, Troy Ferguson, and Ryan Ferguson all of Atlanta; daughter, Lacy Ferguson and boyfriend Kerry Keister, as well as his children, Hailee, Stella and Wesley of Atlanta; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Harper; brother, Stephen Markowski and girlfriend Amy Creech of Atlanta; sisters, Denise (Paul) Ewald of Marine City and Dolores Ward of New Port Richey, Florida; uncle and aunt, Bill and Sharon Cerwinski; several nieces and nephews; and his granddog, Banchee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Catherine Markowski. Stan was able to be an organ donor for Gift of Life, Michigan. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service held this summer in memory of Mr. Markowski. Arrangements were entrusted to Green Funeral Home.
