Stanley Markowski

Stanley Frank Markowski Stanley Frank Markowski, 72, of Atlanta, passed away at Alpena Regional Medical Center on July 23, 2011. He was born on July 1, 1939 in Petoskey, MI to Frank and Julia Markowski. He married the former Catherine Esper on August 24, 1963. Stan worked as a fire fighter and in golf course maintenance on Harsons Island, before moving to Atlanta. Once up north, Stan continued in golf course maintenance at Garland where he worked for many years. He enjoyed to do anything outdoors, from his work, to hunting and fishing. He also liked to take trips to the Casinos. Stan is survived by his son, Stan (Brenda Ferguson) Markowski of Atlanta, MI; daughters, Denise (Paul) Ewold of Marine City, MI, and Delores Markowski of Florida; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, with two more on the way; siblings, Bill, Valerie, Madelyn, and Sandy; special friends, Dick and Barb of Lewiston, and his beloved dog, Frenchie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services for Mr Markowski planned at this time.
