Shirley Roby

Shirley May Roby Shirley May Roby, 88, of Johannesburg, passed away on March 22, 2010 at Engleharts Care Home in Atlanta. She was born on June 11, 1921 to Robert and Violet (Taylor) Westmore in Detroit, MI. She married Edward Roby on August 10, 1940 in Ferndale, MI. She was a member of the Heatherton Reformed Presbyterian Church. She worked as a secretary for many years, for Standard Products, Lewiston Sash and Door, and various other companies, as well as helping with her husband at their business, Roby Wood Products. She was an avid painter and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She loved to walk and cross country ski when she was able. Shirley is survived by her husband, Ed; son, Ron Roby of Mt Pleasant, MI; daughter, Terry Truitt of Quincy, MI; 2 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs Roby were held Saturday, March 27, 2010 ion Lewiston, MI, Re Milton Harrington officiating. Interment took place at Heatherton Cemetery.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Ed; son, Ron Roby of Mt Pleasant, MI; daughter, Terry Truitt of Quincy, MI; 2 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
