Shirley May Green Shirley May Green, age 77, of Georgetown, Texas, and Rust Twp, MI, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 in Georgetown. She was born August 10, 1932 in Montmorency County, Michigan to Arlie and Ida (Crawford) Abbe. Shirley was married to Donald Green in 1970 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Donald and Shirley were owners of Green Funeral Home in Atlanta and Hillman, Michigan where she worked side by side with her husband until their retirement in 1983. She was an avid golfer, and loved the time she spent at golf league at Garland Resort. Shirley is survived by her husband, Donald Green of Georgetown, Texas; son, Joseph C. Tunnicliffe of Georgetown; step-son Warren Green of Santa Teresa, New Mexico; step-daughters, Susan Takash of Vanderbilt, Michigan, Diane Johnson of Fenton, Michigan; sister, Azile Ferguson of Hillman, Michigan; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie and Ida Abbe; sisters, Joyce Sparks, Velma Coyle, Mavis Cooper, Donna Paris, Linda Mar, and Maxine Jones. A visitation for Mrs. Green was held on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown, TX; further visitation will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2010 fro 3:00-8:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta. Funeral services will be held on Monday, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Briley Township Cemetery in Atlanta, Michigan. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
