Shirley Macy Bemke Mrs. Shirley Macy Bemke, 73 of Lewiston, Michigan passed away peacefully at her home on May 16, 2013. She was born in Cawood, Kentucky on August 12, 1939 to James and Mae (Swanson) Price, and was fondly raised with the help of her step mother, Hazel Price. She married husband, Ronald Bemke in Roseville, Michigan on May 18, 1957 and together they were married for 56 years. Shirley resided in Lewiston since 1973 and owned and operated the R&S Gun Shop for 25+ years with husband, Ron. She was a past member of the Lewiston Lioness Club and a former member of the Lewiston Historical Society. She enjoyed baseball, NASCAR, scrap booking, and loved to crochet. Above all, she enjoyed her time spent with family, and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Ron Bemke of Lewiston; daughters, Sherry (Ronald) Welsh of Miramar Beach, Florida; Denise (Michael) Heyster of Lewiston; Cathy (Pat) Newell of Lewiston; grandchildren; Daniel, Mary, David, Justin, and Jacob; great-grandchildren; Krystofer, Drake, Myla, and Persephone; brothers, Jim Price of California; Bob (Deanna) Price of Ishpeming; Roger (Cecil) Price of Haslett; and Bill (Sherie) Price of Holt; sisters, Wanda O'Connor of Warren; Garneda Jacobs of Washington, Michigan; and Penny Price of Warren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ted and Bruce. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services scheduled for Mrs. Bemke at this time.
