Sharon Nichole Soik Ms. Sharon Nichole Soik, 22 of Hillman, Michigan died suddenly on May 3, 2015. She was born in Alpena, Michigan on December 7, 1992 the daughter of Philip and Tammy (Cumper) Soik. She lived in Hillman all of her life and graduated from Hillman High School in 2011. After graduation she attended Baker College of Owosso where she graduated in 2014 with an Associates degree in Preschool Education and Child Care. Due to her love of children she was an advocate against child abuse. Sharon was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Atlanta. Her hobbies included spending time with her cousins, riding her four-wheeler, horses, and being outdoors. Photography was also one of the loves of her life. She will be greatly missed by everyone who was blessed to have known her. She is survived by her parents, Philip and Tammy Soik of Hillman; brothers, Jeff Cumper of Hillman; Austin Soik of Hillman; niece and nephew, Kevin and Leia; grandmother, Lois Cumper of Atlanta; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and the love of her life, boyfriend Matt Demerest. She was preceded in death by grandparents, John Cumper and Mark and Ann Soik; and cousin, Vu Pham. Funeral services for Ms. Soik will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, May7, 2015 at the Atlanta Full Gospel Church; Atlanta, Michigan; Pastor Dave Fischer officiating. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and again on Thursday from 2:00PM until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials have been suggested to the Soik family.
