Sharon Gawne

Mrs. Sharon Ann Gawne, 75 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully at MediLodge of Hillman on December 27, 2019. She was born in Grafton, West Virginia on June 18, 1943 to the late, Glenn and Carolyn (Lafferty) Jones. Formerly of Frankenmuth she moved to the Hillman area in 1985. She was a member of the TriPoint Church of God in Alpena where she sang in the choir, played the piano, and in the past directed the choir. Her love for music was shown through the album she made with her sisters called "The Jones Sisters." Sharon also enjoyed watching the Hallmark channel and spending time with family and friends. She will be dearly missed.

Sharon is survived by her son, Brian (Jenny) Gawne of Hillman; daughter, Kathy (Matt) Noffze of Hillman; grandchildren, Taylor (Chelsea), Ryan, Lucas, Emilee, special granddaughter, Alisha; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh and Austin; sisters, Nancy Verlac;  and Mary Brown both of Roscommon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Carolyn Jones; husband, Larry; and grandchildren, Madison Noffze and Kyle Gawne.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gawne will take place on Monday, December 30, 2019 at  11:00 AM at TriPoint Church of God, Alpena, Reverend Mike Potter officiating. Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, Hillman. Internment will take place at Montmorency Township Cemetery in the Spring.
