Mrs. Sharon Margaret Bolen, 91 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by the love of her family on August 17, 2023. She was welcomed into Heaven with outstretched arms by her late husband, Edward. Sharon was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 8, 1932. She earned her master’s degree in education and worked as an art teacher for the Detroit Public Schools and Port Huron Schools for 40 years. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Hillman and was a very devout Catholic. She never missed church on Sunday. Sharon was a gifted artist and was very creative, painting masterpieces all over her house and upon canvases. She loved adventure and traveling and going on cruises. She enjoyed the outdoors and going on walks. She played card games with friends, crocheted, and quilted. She even dabbled in line dancing. She loved to socialize and be around people, most importantly her family. She leaves them with wonderful memories and all her love. She is and will be deeply missed.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Margaret (Victor) Loewen of Eagle, Idaho; Kimberley (Roy) Choma of Englewood, Florida; sons, Edward Patrick Bolen of Marengo, Illinois; Daniel (Kathy) Bolen of Auburn Hills; grandchildren, Gavin, Kristina, Amanda, Nathaniel, Gabrielle, Noah, Olivia, Megan, Daniel, and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Elliana, Liam, Layne, Aubrey, Addison, Carter, and baby Hazel on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret Sharkey; husband, Edward; sister, Joanne; and brother, Jimmy Sharkey.
