Sabina Anna Moses Mrs. Sabina Anna Moses, 97 of Traverse City, Michigan, formerly of Hillman, passed away on September 1, 2014 at Bortz Health Care in Traverse City. She was born in Bad Axe, Michigan to the late, Matthew and Lucy (Zmich) Peplinski on July 23, 1917. She married Alfred Moses on June 28, 1937 in Angola, Indiana. They operated a farm in Delaware Township near Minden City, Michigan. The couple moved to Hillman from Minden City in 1966. Alfred and Sabina were members of St. John's Lutheran Church. They enjoyed bowling and were in a league for many years. She loved gardening and flowers, as well as traveling with her husband and his work with the United States Department of Agriculture. Alfred and Sabina spent 36 happy years together until his passing in 1973. Above everything else, she loved raising her five boys. She is survived by sons, Richard (Fran) Moses of Reno, Nevada; Ron (Wendie) Moses of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Randy (Patti) Moses of Traverse City; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Agnes Peplinski of Warren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and Lucy Peplinski, husband, Alfred Moses; sons, Jack Moses; Bob Moses; and brothers, Floyd Peplinski, Raymond Peplinski, Sylvester Peplinski, Joseph Peplinski, Ervin Peplinski, Benjamin Peplinski, Casmir Peplinski, John Peplinski, Bernard Peplinski, Lawrence Peplinski, and sisters, Christine (Clayton) Battersby, Elenore (John) Beltowski, Sophie (Joseph) Nauszelski, Delphine (Nick) Sertich, Beatrice (Ken) Husson, Elizabeth (Leo) Osantowske. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service held in celebration of her life on October 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon at St. John's Lutheran Church, 22000 County Rd 452, Hillman, Michigan. Memorials can be sent to St. John's Lutheran Church Building Fund.
