Ruth Warren

Ruth Azalee Corley Warren passed peacefully Oct. 5, 2021 just 11 weeks shy of her 101st birthday. She was born Dec. 17, 1920 to John Henry and Minnie Alta Dukes Corley in Paradise, KY.
She was married to Alton "Shorty" Warren at Friendship Baptist Church by Reverend Fox. Alton preceded her in death along with three of her sons Jerry Warren, Ken Warren, and Steve Sherman.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Glenda Phairas, sons Don Warren and David Sherman and many many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth was born in Paradise, KY, then moved to Fremont, MI for many years before retiring to Atlanta, MI. She loved her family and many friends and was very active in her community. She got her picture in the paper for riding an elephant at 95 years old.
Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Atlanta in Atlanta, MI, 11965 Lake 15 Rd, Atlanta, MI on Oct. 12, 2021 at 1pm with the family receiving visitors at 11am until the time of service.
