Ruth Hicks

Ruth Leona Hicks Mrs. Ruth Leona Hicks, 91 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully on the early morning of December 8, 2017 at Hillman Haven. She was born on February 25, 1926 in Loud Township, Michigan to the late, Milford and Ethel (Beauregard) Cook. Ruth grew up in Atlanta and lived here her entire life. She was a member of the United Church of Christ and treasurer for Rust Township for quite a while. She loved cooking, gardening, and taking care of her children. She cherished time spent with family and will be dearly missed. She is survived by sons, Paul Williams of Atlanta; Donald (Debbie) Williams of Pontiac; Dale Williams of Chicago, Illinois; daughters, Mary (Mike) Conway of Windsor, Ontario Canada; Patricia (Mike) Hurd of Clarkston; Karen (Karl) Kolcan of Waterford; Denise (Ray) Gerard of Davisburg; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; brothers, George (Rosie) Beauregard of Atlanta; Butch (Jackie) Beauregard of Florida; sisters, Audrey Williams of Atlanta; Ila Koloski of Palm Harbor, Florida; and Carol (Robin) McMurphy of Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milford and Ethel Beauregard; daughter, Jane Williams; brothers, Frank and Waldo; sister; Norma Whittaker; and husbands, Henry Williams and Bob Hicks. Funeral services for Mrs. Hicks will take place at 11:00AM on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Green Funeral Home; Atlanta; Pastor Ginny Titus officiating. Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM and again on Monday from 10:00AM until time of service.
