Ruth Lucille Fisher Mrs. Ruth Lucille Fisher, 91 of Atlanta, Michigan passed away on April 17, 2013 at her residence with loved ones by her side. She was born to the late, Fred and Pearl (Grimes) Shatzer in Columbiana, Ohio on March 7, 1922. She was one of seven children and grew up very poor during the depression. She met her husband, Ohmer Millmine and was married in 1939 at the age of 16. Together they raised four children; Ohmer Oliver Millmine, Violet Lucille (Graves) Millmine, Janet Louis (Frtiz) Millmine, and Maynard Stuart Millmine. In 1956 she married Lloyd "Phil" Fisher and together they enjoyed doing various activities such as camping, traveling, and entertaining. Ruth loved to entertain! The couple had a cabin on Lake Avalon where they hosted many events and spent many weekends, holidays, deer seasons, and summer vacations there. She didn't have to work but she was always busy with various jobs. She worked as a bus driver in Pontiac schools as well as a home healthcare giver. When Phil retired in 1972 from Fisher Body they moved to Hillman to retire. In 1979 they moved to Atlanta where she worked at Essex Wire Plant. In 1988 her beloved Phil passed away and she moved to Onaway to be close to her daughter. While there she met Raymond Huffman and enjoyed their companionship and extended family together. Ruth was active as a Rebekah and was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in both Atlanta and Onaway. She enjoyed gardening and raising roses, going to St. Louis with Phil to visit family, and traveling all over the state to hear music played by Ohmer, Maynard, and Janet. Her final moments were spent enjoying and visiting with her family and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by daughter, Violet Graves of Pevely, Missouri; grandchildren, Troy (Donna) Hambleton; Lonnie Graves; Tony (Anne) Brown; Ronald Hambleton; David Graves; Teresa (Mike) Walker; Justine (Dave) Schlak; Debra (George) Whittaker; Darla Ellenberger; Larry Graves; Maynard Michael Millmine; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Pearl Shatzer; husband, Lloyd Fisher; son, Ohmer Millmine; son, Maynard Millmine; daughter, Janet Fritz; granddaughter, Lisa Graves; and grandson, Daniel Graves. Funeral services for Mrs. Fisher will be held at 2:00PM, Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Atlanta Bible Church; Atlanta, MI, Pastor Roger Steele officiating. Interment will take place at Eastwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens in Davison, MI at a later date.
