Russell Pryor

Russell Charles Pryor Mr. Russell Charles Pryor, 98 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully on October 31, 2017 at Aspen Ridge Retirement Village of Gaylord. He was born in Laurium, Michigan on December 14, 1918 to the late, James and Flora (Rodda) Pryor. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country proudly during World War II. Russell resided in Lewiston since 1977 and was a member of the Lewiston Lions, the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of the VFW and the Disabled America Veterans. He enjoyed cross country skiing, boating, and traveling. Aside from these things, he valued his time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his son, James (Donna) Russell Pryor of Roseville; daughters, Judith Downes of Clearwater, Florida; Marilyn Jaworek of Milford; Elizabeth (Mike) Jones of Johnson City, Tennessee; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Flora Pryor; wife, Rose Marie; great-grandsons, Redvor and Russell; sisters, Helen Hendrich, Evelyn Stoser, and infant siblings, Robert and Ruth. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of his life at 11:00AM on Tuesday, November 14, 2017at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church; Fr. Matthew Furgiuele officiating. Visitation will take place 10:00AM until time of service.
