Ruby Pearl Swan Ruby Pearl Swan, 87, of Atlanta, MI, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at her residence. She was born on December 18, 1922 to Henry and Lily (McIntyre) Mishler in Sherman Twp, MI. She attended the Atlanta Church of Christ, and volunteered at the Caring Place. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 2356 in Hillman, having been a past member of the Atlanta group. She enjoyed baking, and was especially known for her sugar cookies. She liked to work jigsaw puzzles and quilt as well. Ruby loved to be outdoors, especially watching the birds. Ruby is survived by her sons, William (Susan) Tillotson of Jackson, MO, Mick (Jan) Tillotson of Atlanta, MI, and Bud (Renee) Swan of Appleton, WI; daughters, Mabel Vieau of Cheboygan, MI, and Terry Swan of Atlanta, MI; grandchildren, Deanna, Jack, Sam, Marlene, Heather, Cooter, Elaine, Marian, Kim, Bryan, Becky, and Mike; great grandchildren, Stanley, Samuel, Andrew, and Zoey; great grandson, Ethan; sister, Jenny Dargie of Grandville, MI; and her dog and cat, Buddy and Kat. She was preceded in death by her parents and 9 brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Tower, MI, Pastor Jjerry Robertson officiating. A short memorial will be held at the Atlanta Church of Christ afterward, followed by a luncheon in Ruby's honor.
