Roy Edward Richey Roy Edward Richey, 89, of Lewiston, MI, passed away on July 21, 2009. He was born on July 5, 1920 to Jake and Pearl (Walker) Richey in Greenville, KY. He married the former Helen Tye on June 5, 1943. Roy served his country in the US Army during WWII. He has lived in Lewiston since 1983 formerly of Berkley, MI. He retired from Kroger as a maintenance supervisor after 20+ yrs. He was a member of the Lewiston Post of the VFW. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, gardening, and working in his yard. Roy is survived by his son, Randy (Linda) Richey of Lewiston, MI; daughters, Helen Hunter of Washington, MI, and Charlotte Uhlig of Madison Heights, MI; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, and all of his brothers and sisters. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services for Mr Richey planned at this time. Interment will take place at a later date at Albert Twp Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Green Funeral Home. Memorials have been suggested to Hospice of Michigan, Gaylord.
