Ronald Johnson

Ronald Bruce Johnson Mr. Ronald Bruce Johnson Sr. 73, of Hillman, Michigan passed away on December 27, 2013 in the peace of his own home. He was born to the late, George and Lucille (Sheldon) Johnson in Utica, Michigan on August 27, 1940. He married wife, Eddie (Elliott) Johnson in Chicago, Illinois on July 25, 1964 and together they celebrated 49 years of marriage. Ronald was a proud veteran and served his country for 10 years in the United States Marine Corp. He was a resident of Hillman for 33 years, formerly of Utica. Ronald worked at Chrysler for 13 years and after moving to Hillman, continued work as a handyman. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Above everything, he enjoyed his time spent with family and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Eddie Johnson of Hillman; son, Ronald (Irma) Johnson Jr of Texas; daughter, Kim (Doug) De Moss of South Rockwood, Michigan; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Johnson of National City, Michigan; sisters, Charlotte (Dick) Ruelle of Prescott; Janet (Harold) Hamlin of Dryden; Sharon High of Lapeer; Michelle (Dale) Vollmers of Mayville. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lucille Johnson; son, Jerrold; daughter, Katherine Keegan; and brothers, George and Jerrold. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are will be a memorial held in celebration of his life at 2:00PM on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Green Funeral Home; Hillman, Michigan; Pastor Harold Hamlin officiating. Visitation will take place from 1:00PM until time of service.
