Roger Charles Jones Sr. Roger Charles Jones Sr, 52, of Hillman, MI, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born on February 17, 1960 to Cleon and Thelma (Wilkins) Jones in Alpena, MI. He married the former Julie McDonald on April 16, 1981 in Atlanta, MI. Roger worked for Ron Marquardt Builders for many years as a carpenter. He loved the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping to just name a few things. Above all else, Roger enjoyed time spent with his family. Roger is survived by his wife, Julie; son, Roger Jones Jr of Hillman, MI; daughters, Natalie Jones of Alpena, MI, and Sara (Jonathon) Straus of Lake Isabella, MI; grandson, Eli; brother, Gary (Kathy) Jones of Hillman, MI; and sisters, Judy (Harold) Smith and Mary (Randy LaFleche) Jones both of Hillman, MI, and Linda (Tom) Goosens of Duluth, GA. Funeral services for Mr. Jones will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM at New Beginnings Ministries, Hillman, MI, Pastor David Hill officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM at the church. Interment will take place at Hillman Rust Twp Cemetery.
