Robert Smith

Robert Oliver Smith Robert Oliver Smith, 88, of Lewiston, passed away on October 28, 2009 at AuSable Valley Home in Fairview. He was born on September 11, 1921 to Hunter and Grace (Green) Smith in Detroit, MI. He served his country in the US ARMY. Bob owned and operated R. O. Smith Collision in Detroit for almost 30 yrs. In retirement, he worked in rural delivery for the US Post Office in Brighton, MI. He was also a member of the Lions Club and Masonic Lodge in Brighton. He loved to tinker, he was always working on something , he could fix anything, and was an avid reader. Robert is survived by his sons, Walker (Doreen) Smith of Brighton, MI, and Mark (Trish) Smith of Interlochen, MI; daughter, Barbara Harding of Centerline, MI; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane in 2006. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services for Mr Smith planned at this time.

As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services for Mr Smith planned at this time.
