Robert Scott

Robert Louis Scott Robert Louis Scott, 58, of Lewiston, MI, passed away at Grayling Mercy Hospital on June 8, 2010. He was born on December 2, 1951 to James and Mary Ann (Sporcich) Scott on Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, CA. He married Suzanne Sewell on May 15, 1976 in Romeo, MI. He has lived in Lewiston for the past two and a half years, having vacationed here for years, formerly of Washington, MI. Robert had most recently worked for Pro Soft Technologies as a regional sales manager but has spent the last few years doing many of the things he loved dearly. "Bob" to his family and friends, was an enthusiast of all things mechanical. A man who could fix ANYTHING, Bob spent his time working on vintage snowmobiles, restoring them to their former beauty. He was also a private pilot and mentioned that some day he would love to restore his own seaplane. Bob was also a comedian, not by trade but well known in his family for the infamous goofy jokes he would tell. He was one of those guys you could always count on to be there when you needed him and would never let anything come before his family. The many people he left behind will continue to hold his memory in their hearts as the most wonderful father, husband, brother, nephew, son, and best friend they ever had. Robert is survived by his wife, Suzanne of Lewiston, MI; daughters, Andrea (Matt Ponkey) Scott of Valparaiso, IN, and Lindsey (Brandon) Matlock of Anchorage, AK; brother, James (Debi) Scott of Lewiston, MI; sisters, Diane (Lee Bertini) Morgan of Ft Walton Beach, FL, and Elizabeth Ranta of Ironwood, MI; father and mother in law, Walt and Billie Sewell of Lewiston, MI; brother in law and sister in law, Doug and Sheryl Sewell, and sister in law and brother in law, Kathy and Paul Eschenburg , both also of Lewiston, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Ann. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering for Bob was held on June 12, 2010 at the James Scott residence in Lewiston. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Scott Family in care of the Green Funeral Home, PO Box 201, Atlanta, MI 49709.
