Robert “Bob” Lewis Ruch passed away on January 20, 2025. He was 77 years old. Bob was born to Lewis and Pauline (Justman) Ruch in Marshfield, Wisconsin on July 11, 1947. He was a 1965 graduate of Lansing Everett High School where he was a wrestler for three years and a member of the 1965 state championship team.
Bob served proudly in the United States Coast Guard. He was also an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow. Bob started working at Merrill Lynch in Lansing, Michigan in 1965. He worked his way up to operations manager and was transferred to Toledo, Ohio in 1970. He then left there to work for Nollenberger Truck Center in 1983. He worked there for 33 years as sales manager for their three dealerships. He owes a lot to the owners, Virginia Nollenberger and George Mitchell, who gave him all the support he needed. In his spare time, Bob was a Toledo City League peewee baseball coach in the 80’s.
After retirement, Bob moved to Canada Creek Ranch, Atlanta, Michigan in 2014 to live out the remainder of his life enjoying all the nature and wildlife the ranch had to offer.
He is survived by his children, Jody (Chris) Pakulski, Monty (Michelle) Ruch; grandkids, Aaron, Logan, Jordyn, Chassidy (Eric) Hill, Chase, Hannah, and Khyra; multiple beloved great-grandchildren; cousin, Tom (Terri) Beversdorf; nephews, Chris Haven, Chad (Danielle) Haven and their kids, Nolan, Harper and Gray; and niece, Minda (Todd) Derby. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Pauline Ruch; sister, Sonja and Dan Haven; and cousins, Jane and Joe Resch.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Bob privately at this time. Bob will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing.
