Robert Joseph Roy Mr. Robert Joseph Roy, 52 of Atlanta, Michigan died on January 19, 2017 at Tendercare Nursing Home in Gaylord. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 12, 1964 the son of Vincent and Mary Ann (Skwarczynski) Roy. He married his wife, Dawn (Miller) Roy on September 14, 1991 in Sterling Heights and together the couple celebrated 25 years of marriage before his passing. The couple moved to Atlanta in 2000, formerly of Port Huron. Robert was self-employed and owned and operated numerous businesses including; Roy & Sons Guns in Atlanta since 2013, Roy & Sons Small Engine Repair in Lewiston, Eagle Recovery in Detroit for 22 years, and a full service gas station called Wayne Service Center for 12 years in Detroit. He also worked for Freedom Bail Bonds for seven years. When Robert was not working he enjoyed talking with friends, trips to the casino, shooting guns with family and friends, and impromptu spur of the moment road trips. Above everything, he enjoyed time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn Roy of Atlanta; sons, Jonathon Roy of Muskegon; Steven Roy of Atlanta; grandchildren Adrianne and Amelia; mother, Mary Ann Roy of Shelby Township; brothers, David (Cynthia) Roy of Shelby Township; Alcide Roy of Frasier; and sister, Mary (Scott) Clayton of Warren. He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Roy. As were his wishes cremation has taken place and there are currently no services scheduled for Mr. Roy.
