Robert Pletz

Robert Pletz Robert Leland Pletz, 85, of Atlanta, passed away on December 13, 2010 at Medilodge Nursing Home in Hillman. He was born on January 6, 1925 to August and Sylvia (Kiehn) Pletz in Bessie, OK. He married Betty Barber in 1953 in Wayne County. He has lived in Atlanta since 2004, formerly of Hillman. He was a member of the American Legion. He was an avid reader, the newspaper, books, whatever he could find. Robert loved to eat, especially sweets, and was a coin collector. He is survived by his son, Donald Pletz of North Carolina; granddaughter, Melissa; numerous nieces and nephews; special niece Brenda Barber. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty. Interment for Mr Pletz took place at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock MI. Arrangements were entrusted to the Green Funeral Home.
