Robert Bruce Marrion Sr. Mr. Robert Bruce Marrion Sr., 71 of Atlanta, Michigan passed away on December 9, 2013 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Jackson, Michigan to the late, Neil and Eleanor (Kidridge) Marrion on January 30, 1942. He married wife, Ruth (Worden) Marrion on October 5, 1963 and together they shared 50 years of marriage. The couple has lived in Atlanta for the past twelve years, formerly of Grass Lake, Michigan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Atlanta, and the founding father of the Robert Marrion Fishing Club. He loved fishing and teaching children and friends how to do it. He was also avid in wood working and built most everything in his home. Robert also enjoyed to hunt, but what he enjoyed most of all, was his time spent with family and friends. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Marrion of Atlanta; sons, Robert Jr (Shanna Verbecken) Marrion of Jackson; Michael (Shirley Ballinger) Marrion of Spring Harbor; daughters, Mary (Joe) Davis of Jackson; Michelle Marrion of Ionia; Janette (Mike) Mowery of Petoskey; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia (Donald) Baldwin of Jackson; Francis (Phil) Leightner of Grass Lake; and Judith (John) Wilkes of Jerome. He was preceded in death by his parents, Neil and Eleanor Marrion; and grandson, Harold Marrion. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of his life at a later date.
