Robert Gallagher

Mr. Robert J. Gallagher, 77 of Atlanta, Michigan died Sunday, November 17, 2019 at his home. He was born in Patterson, New Jersey on March 12, 1942 to Howard and Emma Gallagher. Robert married, Marlene Butler on August 25, 2007 and together the couple celebrated 12 years of marriage before his passing. Robert retired as a paving engineer. He raised goats and chickens and loved to garden. He was also a collector of model trains. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marlene of Atlanta; sons, William (Donna) Gallagher of Bangor, Pennsylvania; Blaine Gallagher of Spring Hill, Florida; stepchildren, Kenne Butler of Texas; Carl (Tina) Butler of Edwardsburg; Jeff (Cheryl) Butler of Atlanta; Dawn (Joe) Beswick of Atlanta; two grandchildren; twelve step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Shirley, Kathleen, and Lynn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Emma Gallagher; brothers, Howard and Edward; son, Robert J. Gallagher; and first wife, Hazel Mae (Wolfe) Gallagher.

Funeral services for Mr. Gallagher will take place at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Green Funeral Home, Atlanta; Pastor Keith Jones officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:30 AM until time of service.
