Mr. Robert Elston 81, passed away peacefully in his home on April 11, 2020 in Lewiston, Michigan where he and his family were residents for 46 years. He was born July 22nd, 1938 to Arquilla (Arnold) and Donald Elston in Armada, Michigan. Robert graduated from Capac High School in 1956. He worked in several manufacturing plants throughout Michigan as Plant Superintendent, and also spent several years as a respectable drywaller. His true talent was his craftsmanship and love for woodworking. He owned his own cabinet company, Creative Cupboards, building many kitchens for Lewiston area residents. He was an avid gardener and loved canning. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a beloved friend, husband, father, uncle, and papa.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnee Elston; four daughters, Patricia Elston of Spruce; Peggy Emmons of Romeo; Megan (Brock) Buchholz of Powder Springs, Georgia; Carrie (Samuel) Starkey of Rockford; three sons, Wayne Elston of Whitmore Lake; Matt Elston; Mark Elston both of Hale; grandchildren, Erik Emmons, Joshua Emmons, Casey Emmons, Brandon Elston, Helene Buchholz, Jackson Buchholz, Owen Cronk, Carter Cronk, Eli Cronk, Corbin Starkey, Dawson Starkey, Evelyn Starkey; great-grandchildren, Owen Emmons, Isabella Emmons, Elizabeth Emmons, Rose Emmons, Grace Emmons, Joshua Emmons, and Violet Emmons.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will be no funeral arrangements held for Mr. Elston at this time.
