Robert Bacon

Robert William Bacon Robert William Bacon, 82, passed away on July 26, 2011 at AuSable Valley Home in Fairview, MI. He was born on April 28, 1929 to Clarence and Bertha (Dichelbor) Bacon in Ewen, MI. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Robert has lived in Lewiston since 1985 formerly of Livonia, MI. He retired from LLC Tool Company as a Boring Mill Operator after 20+ years of service. He was a member of the Lewiston Congregation of the United Church of Christ. He truly loved to hunt and fish, and also enjoyed watching his favorite activities on TV as well. Robert is survived by his wife, Maxine, of Lewiston, MI; step sons, Robert (Marilyn) Sheldon of Lewiston, MI, Kenneth (Joanna) Sheldon of Zimmerman, MN, and Thomas (Karen) Sheldon of Westland, MI; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Bertha Bacon, sisters, Dorothy Bacon and Rosemarie Marra, and brother, Edward Bacon. Funeral services for Mr. Bacon will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011 at Green Funeral Home in Lewiston, MI. Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Green Funeral Home as well from 5-8PM. Arrangements were entrusted to the Green Funeral Home.
