Richard George Gall Mr. Richard George Gall, 88, of Atlanta, MI, passed away on November 4, 2013 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 8, 1925 to George and Marjorie (Ash) Gall in Detroit, MI. Richard married the former Bobbie Bishop on October 27, 1945 in Corpus Christi, TX. He served his country in the US Navy. He retired from General Motors in 1977, then returned to work for the City of Pontiac at the Silverdome for 11 more years. He was a member of the Atlanta Congregational Church, the Waterford Eagles, Atlanta Senior Center, and the American Legion in both Atlanta and past member in Corpus Christi, TX. He was active in the Boy Scouts with his children. He loved being in the outdoors, either camping, gardening, or just doing yard work. He enjoyed collecting, especially tools and guns. Richard is survived by his wife, Bobbie of Atlanta, MI; five children, Marjorie Short of Kewadin, MI, Ronald (Minette) Gall of Corpus Christi, TX, Richard (Dawn) Gall of Waterford, MI, Karen Williamson of Waterford, and Cynthia (Jack) Hankins of Athens, TX; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and niece and nephew Kirk and Peggy Gall of Fort Gratiot, MI. He was preceded in death by his brother, George Gall. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service for Mr Gall at the Atlanta Congregational Church on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM with visitation at the church from 10:30 AM until time of service. The family has suggested memorials to Hospice of Michigan, Alpena, or to the Atlanta Congregational Church.
